Mountain Work
Ski Resorts
Alpine earthworks with the light footprint sensitive terrain demands.
What this work involves
Resorts across Western Canada bring the spider in for summer alpine work that protects the mountain. We excavate and backfill lift tower and terminal foundations, set hold-down anchors, contour and place topsoil — all with minimal ground impact, and we can support steel erection where nothing else has access.
We install poles and anchors for FIS race-track netting and snow-fence systems, pounding sleeves for a more solid base than digging allows. With the mower and mulcher we clear and rebuild overgrown runs, and a custom sled lets a snow cat pull the spider up the run to reach the site.
