Powerlines & Utilities
Pole installation and right-of-way work on terrain trucks can’t reach.
What this work involves
Utility corridors rarely run where the roads do. Spidex sets poles, supports structure changeovers and digs cable transitions in the places a bucket truck or tracked excavator simply can’t reach — ridgelines, ravines, rights-of-way and live lines above traffic.
Because the spider walks in on its own legs, crews avoid building access roads and disturbing the corridor. We coordinate with BC Hydro and prime contractors, and we’re approved for power-pole work on the BC Hydro system.
