Slope Safety
Rock Scaling
Loose rock and slope hazards brought down safely from a stable platform.
What this work involves
Rock scaling is dangerous work made safer by reach and footing. Anchored on all-terrain paws, the spider works steep faces and cut slopes to bring down loose material, eliminate falling-rock hazards and reopen the trails, roads and rail below.
Gravity-assisted excavating lets the operator work down an outcropping methodically, leaving clean, stable rock on either side of the hazard.
